Meet Pastor Stoot

Pastor Paul Allen Stoot was born and raised in Houston, Texas by his parents John Stoot and Annie Bossier who still reside there.  He accepted Christ at age 6 and received the calling to minister at age 15 at Mission Baptist Church.  Upon Graduation from Barbara Jordon Technical High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  While in the service, he obtained a degree in Business Administration.

On January 2, 1983, he joined the Greater Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in San Diego, California under the leadership of Pastor Clyde E. Gaines.  There he met and soon married Tammie L. Brown on October 20, 1984.  They have three beautiful children:  Minister Rodney, Anisa, and Paul II.  During his faithful tenure as an associate minister under Pastor Gaines, he helped start and organize a Boy and Cub Scout Program and was nationally recognized for his efforts in that area with his picture and scout troop published in the Boy Scout Masters Handbook.

In September, 1990 Pastor Stoot was recruited to work for the Boeing Company in Everett, WA.  He joined the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor H.B. Sampson, Jr.  Under Rev. Sampson’s leadership, he served in faithful and loyal supporter of the pastor, being used when needed.

Pastor Stoot began a Bible study group June, 1992 which met at his South Everett home.  As attendance grew, Greater Trinity Missionary Baptist Church was born.  Worship services were then held at the Holiday Inn Hotel beginning in January, 1993.  Endeavoring to do the work of the ministry, obstacles accompanied the inconveniences of not being in a place of permanent worship.  Through God’s blessing, GTMBC was offered the opportunity to purchase two acres of property.  This undertaking was a movement of faith and now that we are here, we look for God to move us to another level.

The Pastor holds several offices which include:  Foreign Mission Board Chairman of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America; Foreign Mission Board Chairman of the Washington State Baptist Convention;  Moderator, New Era District Association, and Executive Director of Greater Trinity Christian Learning Academy and Operation Latch Key.  He has appeared on TBN with wife Tammie on several different occasions.

Pastor Stoot also lives daily by faith in service to the church.  He does not receive a salary from the church but relies on the love offerings of the congregation and others who support his ministry to provide for his family.  God is good!

Pastor Stoot is planning on going back to school in the fall of 2005 to earn a degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Pastoral Care.

Pastor Stoot states that he believes in God and that the awakening of the church will be an enhancement not only for the church but for the community.  He is not only concerned with those who are presently within the church, but also those within the community at large, especially our military personnel.  He is committed to Christian growth, both personally and as a church, through precept and example.

He strives to live the life of a servant of Jesus Christ unto mankind through word and action.

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”  II Timothy 2:3
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18
